Our Story
Since our establishment in 2015, On-Point Building Contractors Ltd has grown through hard work, industry expertise, and a commitment to delivering quality workmanship. Founded by Paul Woodford as a sole trader specialising in bricklaying, the business was built on strong traditional values, attention to detail, and pride in every project undertaken.
As the years progressed, Paul expanded the company’s services into building fabric repairs and repointing works, successfully partnering with larger national contractors and gaining valuable experience across a wide range of residential and commercial projects. This steady growth laid the foundation for the company’s future development within the planned maintenance and property services sector.
In 2021, Gary Purdy joined the business, bringing extensive experience in planned maintenance and contract delivery. This marked a significant step forward for the company, enabling On-Point to expand its capabilities and secure larger contracts and long-term frameworks. With Paul’s extensive building and construction knowledge alongside Gary’s expertise in planned maintenance and contract management, the business formed a strong leadership team focused on driving the company in the right direction and building a reputation for quality and reliability.
Shortly after, the company secured its first framework agreement with BCP Council, delivering external building fabric maintenance works across their housing stock.
Building on this success, in 2023 On-Point secured a four-year framework agreement with NFDC to deliver kitchen and bathroom refurbishment programmes within occupied properties. These achievements further established the company as a trusted contractor within the social housing and public sector markets.
Today, in 2026, On-Point Building Contractors Ltd continues to grow and diversify its services. We are proud to deliver Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) works for multiple local authorities across Hampshire, Dorset, and Berkshire, helping to improve homes and enhance the quality of life for residents within our communities.
